Planning permission for a contemporary home in rural Kent
L E P Architecture and Planning have secured planning permission for this exciting private residential scheme in rural Kent.
This contemporary cottage combines Kentish vernacular architecture and materials with the simplicity and symmetry of a classical villa to produce a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional domestic architecture and the Kentish oast house.
A clever arrangement of spaces and volumes create a light-filled home perfect for entertaining and enjoying the peaceful rural setting.
We were really pleased to have worked with some previous commercial clients on this project to help them realise their dream home.
The project has balanced sensitive planning needs with a desire for a strong architectural identity to create a statement home.
L E P are extremely proud of the work by James Croke, one of our Part II students, on this project.
